Early on Wednesday morning, huge flames were spotted engulfing a third-floor unit at Block 257B Compassvale Road. The Singapore Civil Defence Force quickly arrived around 4.15am with two fire engines, a Red Rhino, two ambulances and three support vehicles. Firefighters pushed their way into the house and extinguished the fire within 30 minutes, and a man was rushed to the Singapore General Hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties.
