Being a talkative person by nature, Li admitted that he was uncomfortable at first when he was not able to communicate with Andrew, the driver. Since words couldn't be spoken out loud, Li decided to converse with him through the medium of typing words on the iPhone — and that's when he learned of Andrew's story. Having just lost his job as a draftsman, Andrew maintains a positive outlook while providing for his family — a deaf wife and three able children — as an Uber driver.
