For all full-time and operationally ready National Servicemen in the Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force — the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Home Affairs will cover the cost of life and personal accident insurance for you, starting from July 1. According to the ministries, the reason behind this initiative is to "better recognise the contributions of National Servicemen to national defence and security, and to strengthen our care for them".
