Ghost on the Wire #2 is a multi-disciplinary exhibition by UK-based curatorial partnership, DEM Projects. To be displayed at Objectifs from Aug 18 (opening event) to Sep 4, the exhibition features works from 18 Singaporean and British artists.
Set to the theme of mediated communication, several pieces from the first edition (which debuted in London in 2014) will make an appearance, as well as new ones specially created for the Singapore show. Works include video art, photography, and two performances at the opening evening event. The title of the show is inspired by philosopher Gilbert Ryle's description of the mind as 'the Ghost in the Machine', and the artworks look at ways in which communication through different channels aid and fail us.
