After the June 1 announcement by United Airlines of its non-stop flight between Singapore and San Francisco, Singapore Airlines has accepted the challenge. It will re-start non-stop flights to the US three years after it cancelled the service from Singapore to Los Angeles and New York. Due to launch on October 23, the first destination is, of course, San Francisco.
