In a tragic episode that transpired in the early morning yesterday, a family of four were involved in a car accident at Lentor.
While his wife and two sons — aged three and six — were in the car, the husband mounted the kerb and crashed into a tree along Lentor Avenue. Sadly, the 33-year-old mother died at the scene, according to the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
Lianhe Wanbao reported that over 10 motorists stopped their vehicles to help out the victims, extricating them out from the car and helping to direct traffic.
The two boys were conveyed to to KK Women's and Children's Hospital. The six-year-old sustained spinal injuries while the three-year-old suffered head injuries.
