For those of you who didn't get tickets to the National Day Parade (or can't be bothered to go), here's a prime alternative: Beach Beats Fest. Think of it as a pre-party to ZoukOut. Held on the same day as Singapore's 51st birthday, the new festival will transform Sentosa's Palawan Green into a music village, thanks to Zouk and Ismaya Live (the people behind Djakarta Warehouse Project). You'll be dancing from day to night to the beats of soul, funk, hip hop, tropical house and more by international DJ names like Mark Ronson, Hayden James, Ta-ku and Sam Feldt, as well as local singer-songwriter Charlie Lim.
