Drivers, your parking woes may soon be solved by the Urban Redevelopment Authority. Well, perhaps at the cost of offending your food-loving sensibilities. In an attempt to solve the parking and traffic problems at certain food-centric areas in Singapore, the URA is banning new eateries from opening up shop at the Thomson Village area, which includes Jalan Todak, Soo Chow Walk, Sin Ming Road, Shunfu Road and Upper Thomson Road; the Little India Historic District, which includes Serangoon Road, Jalan Besar and Kitchener Road; and an area by Bedok Road, which includes shophouses along Jalan Pari Burong.
