Around 4.30am this morning, a Singapore-registered car tumbled and crashed onto the railway tracks at the Causeway, resulting in train service delays between Singapore and Malaysia for about an hour. The white sedan, driven by a man in his 30s, was on its way to Singapore from the Malaysian checkpoint when the accident occurred, resulting in the vehicle colliding into the water pipes along the tracks.

The driver was trapped by his car door, which was pinned to the ground, and several passers-by attempted to help him out by moving the car. He suffered minor injuries. Consequently, the first train leaving Woodlands at 5.30am was delayed, but train service was back to normal by 7am.
