In a horrible way to usher in the weekend, someone found a dead newborn baby in the toilet of Tampines MRT Station this afternoon.
According to media reports, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to the case at around 1.40pm. The baby — found at the first floor toilet of the MRT station — was pronounced dead upon arrival.
A body bag was later carried out from the toilet around 4pm. The police are still conducting investigations in the cordoned-off area.
