Nearly three weeks since Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat collapsed after suffering a stroke during a cabinet meeting at the Istana, the man is said to be recuperating well, according to the prime minister.
PM Lee Hsien Loong had gone to visit Heng at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital's National Neuroscience Institute last evening, where he was "delighted to find him recovering well, and making steady progress". Heng was even noted to be "fully lucid, communicative, and cheerful".
Doctors have been satisfied with Heng's recovery, though they've advised him not to receive visitors yet so that he can rest as much as possible. But hey, if the prime minister of Singapore wants to visit, the prime minister of Singapore gets what he wants.
