Despite having experience as a lawful officer of the Voluntary Special Constabulary (VSC), a 53-year-old man has been sentenced to jail for the heinous crime of sexually abusing a mentally disabled teenage boy.
Koon Kok Wai pleaded guilty in court yesterday to one count for outrage of modesty and one count for sexually assaulting the victim — whom he met in the course of his duties as a VSC officer — back in 2014, Channel NewsAsia reports.
Koon first came across the 17-year-old autistic boy during a call by a member of the public, who alerted the authorities about victim lying on the pavement. Upon seeing the uniformed officers, the boy ran away but they managed to calm him down.
