The Traffic Police have added yet another high-tech tool in their arsenal that should be able to capture speed demons more effectively.
Today they've unveiled their new police speed laser cameras that will be stationed at 44 accident-prone and high-risk areas — places that include Nicoll Highway, Upper Bukit Timah Road and Upper Thomson Road.
Though the cameras aren't able to capture the faces of drivers (yet), they're still advanced enough to capture images clearly during both day and night, and even detect front and back number plates.
