You've probably heard by now that the first case of the Zika virus made its way to our shores last week. Following that, the National Environment Agency quickly inspected about 800 premises in the Watten Estate, where the 48-year-old man lived.
After being tested positive for the infection, the Singapore Permanent Resident was transferred from Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital to the Communicable Diseases Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Since then, he has made a full recovery, according to the Ministry of Health and the NEA, and was discharged yesterday afternoon.
