The guzheng, erhu, dizi and more traditional Chinese instruments got a warm welcome into the Apple family today in the latest update of GarageBand.
Apple's basic and uber-user friendly music creation software nows feature over 300 loops, samples and presets of Chinese instruments — seen as a major effort in the Cupertino company's ongoing attraction of the market in China. No only is it easier (and pretty fun, we'd imagine) to jam or compose music on iPhones, iPads and Macbooks, but Apple has also made it easier for users in China to share their tunes on QQ and Youku — popular social networks in the country, considering Facebook is banned.
