Despite our love for Maggi Goreng, Spicy Korean Ramen challenges and Indomie, Singapore doesn't rank very high in the list of global demand for instant noodles.
In an index released by the World Instant Noodles Association (yes, they exist) last week, Singapore lands on the 32nd spot with only 130 million servings of sodium-loaded reportedly consumed by us. In fact, we've been staying constant with that figure since 2012, scoring considerably lower than the likes of Kazakhstan, UK, Poland, Canada and other unlikely instant noodle-eating nations.
