Four Singaporeans made it to the 2014 Forbes Asia Power Businesswoman list of 50.
The women on the list are selected based on three criteria: company revenue, the position of the women and how involved they are in the daily operations of their respective companies.
The highest-ranked Singaporean is Chew Ghek Khim in sixth position, executive chairman of 126-year-old Straits Trading, which she radically transformed from a convential colonial-era tin smelter, into a dynamic holding company with a market capitalization of $1.2 billion.
