A day after a petition was launched against "gutter politics", somebody assumed that the Prime Minister's own sister signed it.
The petition itself was launched by veteran thespian Neo Swee Lin following her emotional speech at a rally held by the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) on Tuesday. Accompanied by an open letter signed by many other prominent pundits in the arts and academia, the petition opposed the People's Action Party's alleged gutter politics — in which personal attacks and character assassination upon SDP's Dr Chee Soon Juan were carried out by the people in power.
