The Straits Times revealed that a forested area on a hill near the park (and the newly opened Safra Punggol Club) played host to makeshift brothels, where prostitutes from Myanmar were believed to have their operated nearly every night. The proximity is no coincidence — it's located close to the dormitories and worksites of foreign construction workers.
