The days have been hot, and it'll just get hotter in the coming week. After an absolute scorcher at Seletar last week — the hottest daily maximum temperature in a decade— Tuesday was noted to be the hottest day on record.
According to Meteorological Service Singapore, the average daily temperature shot up to a record high of 30.6°C on Apr 19, surpassing the highest ever recorded daily mean temperature of 30.2°C on June 22 last year. Temperatures rose as high as 36°C at Choa Chu Kang on Tuesday, just a smudge short of the one recorded at Seletar last Wednesday.
