Last Saturday, around 3am, four Singaporeans were attacked at a night club in Johor's Kluang district. It is believed that they had harassed a woman, provoking her furious boyfriend to command more than 20 men from a secret society to beat them up. Items suspected to be used in the fight include a machete, two iron rods, three rattan sticks and a baseball bat — all were seized by the Malaysian police.
One Singaporean was admitted to the hospital, while the other three suffered injuries from the fight. The club manager and a waiter were also hospitalised, but all three are said to be in stable conditions. Five men, aged between 20 and 52, were arrested on Tuesday.
