Sorry River Safari fans, a popular segment of the park is closed right now because it's sexytime.
The River Safari's Giant Panda Forest is only expected to reopen again tomorrow morning as they let Kai Kai and Jia Jia get it on in private (not really, vets and keepers will definitely be watching) for three days.
Both pandas have had their hormone levels monitored to determine when they'll be ready for mating season. Keepers have simulated a season change in the Giant Panda Forest by varying daylight hours and temperatures. They've also swapped exhibits and dens between Kai Kai and Jia Jia, so both of them can get a whiff of each other and be tempted to do the deed.
