An anti-crime blitz across Chinatown, Little India, Lavender Street, Jalan Sultan and Coleman Street over the past few months managed to uproot 13 unlicensed massage parlours — who may or may not be providing less than savoury services behind their doors.
The operations against massage establishments were led by police officers from Central Division, seeking out the ones that were flouting regulations by operating without a valid licence.
If convicted, they'll each be fined up to $1,000 and a further fine of up to $50 for each day they operate after conviction.
