Great news for the country with the highest percentage of smartphone users in the world— the nation's public Wi-Fi service is set to get a nitrous boost in volume and intensity by 2018.
The number of Wireless@SG hot spots will be doubled to 20,000 and will enable users to surf at up to 5Mpbs, in comparison to the current 2Mpbs, according to Minister of State for Communications and Information Dr. Janil Puthucheary.
