Don't call a bouncer fat. That's what 28-year-old Desmond Loh did when he and a friend were barred from re-entering Club Sonar at Orchard Hotel. The incident, which happened on May 3 last year, escalated into violence when bouncer Yeo Tian Soon, 20, failed to reign in his anger, as reported by The New Paper. He initially allowed the pair into the club, but then asked Loh to leave, and refused him re-entrance.
Loh reportedly made a couple snide remarks, telling him, "You're rejecting me entry 'cause you're fat." This provoked Yeo, who held a blue belt in taekwondo and often familiarized himself with self-defence videos.
