An official trip to New York as a dignitary isn't complete without paying respects to the victims of the city's most catastrophic attack — the September 11 terrorist attacks.
A visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum was made as Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife laid flowers on ground zero, now a fountain and a reflecting pool. Lee also checked out the underground museum which stores over 10,000 artifacts from the day of the attacks, including steel from the Twin Towers.
