To be fair, young Jerald Lie did not do anything wrong here — he did not force his wife to play the role of a traditional housewife who's willing to do everything to support the man of the house. In a pretty rare disposition in the modern husband-wife dynamic, the wife is more than willing to conform to old expectations of being a homely woman.
