Attired in surf shorts and lying unconscious on the beach at East Coast Park, a 37-year-old Thai national is believed to have drowned yesterday night.
The Straits Times reports that the man was found near the East Coast Lagoon Food Village around 8.45pm, with trained nurses on site carrying out medical assistance. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed on the victim for about 20 minutes before police arrived.
The Singapore Police Force's blue tent was set up to cover the body soon after, and paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
