Get your umbrellas out, people. This month will be a hot one, reports TODAY. According to the National Environment Agency on Tuesday, maximum temperatures for the next two weeks will fluctuate between 33 and 34 degrees, with some days shooting up to a high of 36 degrees.

Aren't we so lucky to live in sunny Singapore?

You can thank the El Nino phenomenon for the sweltering heat — it's going to be dry and hot, with less rainfall than usual. Or blame it on the equinox, a twice-yearly astronomical occurrence that happens when the plane of our equator passes through the sun's centre. The upcoming date is approximated to be Mar 20, when temperatures around noon will be sky high.
