The death of Tan Poh Huat earlier this month was an alarming one — the 53-year-old was found dead at Chin Long Kong Chinese Temple on Valentine's Day, reportedly sustaining a head injury.
Police investigations were prompt, and the authorities quickly caught the alleged culprit. 47-year-old Loh Suan Lit has since been charged with the murder of Tan in court today.
Loh was identified as a suspect and arrested over a week since the discovery of the body, Channel NewsAsia reports. He has been remanded for a week for police to complete investigations, and to recover stolen goods.
