Electronic dance music as a genre has seen a monumental expansion over the past couple of years or so, now being a billion dollar industry around the world.
It also says a lot when people just don't give much of a shit about the first ever EDM-centric awards show — DJ Paul Oakenfold's brainchild, the Electronic Music Awards and Foundation (EMAF).
Last week, the trance legend announced the various nominees for categories such as 'Single of the Year', 'Festival of the Year', 'DJ of the Year, and more EDM-inclined titles. The usual staple names such as Diplo, Disclosure, Calvin Harris, Skrillex appear of course.
