The Minister of Defence Ng Eng Han may have been a surgeon in his pre-political days, and served as minister for a multitude of departments since 2004 — but this job called for a different expertise entirely.
The Minister was tasked with the daunting task of... lending his voice for a song.
In a song about Total Defence, who better to ask for guest vocals than the Minister of Defence? Apparently, he got sabo-ed for the role and found himself singing the updated song with members of the Singapore Armed Force Music and Drama Company as well as local cover band QuickPick.
"At this time, when our unity and safety is threatened by extremists, there is a part for everyone to stand together," he writes in a Facebook post. "Sing with us for our defence!".
