From the middle of the Woodlands heartland to the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), vehicles were lined up in a massive traffic jam this morning all because of an accident between an oil truck and a car.
The accident itself saw a 41-year-old man conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital around 3am. What caused the jam though was the massive oil spill that transpired following the accident. Channel NewAsia reports that oil was seen emanating from the back of the truck for hours, even till noon today.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force responded to the oil spill at 6.07am, but it looks like their cleanup weren't much use, considering the leaky oil truck. Barrels were brought to the scene to collect the oil.
