51-year-old Philip Sudhan Dhanaraj has since been sentenced to 10 weeks' jail for insulting the modesty of a woman, verbally abusing a bus driver, as well as stealing two bottle of alcohol from a 7-Eleven store, The Straits Times reports.
Dhanaraj had been travelling on SMRT's nightrider bus service NR7 in Oct 31 last year when he approached a fellow passenger to ask if she had a boyfriend. His attempts to strike conversation was ignored as the woman continued to ignore him and speak on her phone.
