
Last year's Laneway Festival may have garnered the biggest turnout ever in their five-year history, but the event did earn some stern words from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong too for being a total landfill.
The overwhelming amount of trash left behind on the lush landscapes of The Meadow post-festival were of wasteland levels, prompting PM Lee to express his disappointment at the legions of hipsters. He even compared their actions to an AFF Suzuki Cup match where Myanmar sports fans cleaned up after themselves by picking up the litter left behind at the National Stadium.
