It's hard not to imagine that the Straits Times folks rubbed their hands in glee after seeing the physical — and very public — result of a copyright infringement suit against controversial socio-political website The Real Singapore (TRS).

Ai Takagi, one of the founders and editors of TRS, has put out an "unreserved" apology in print to Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) for reproducing or substantially reproducing 244 of their articles on their website without permission. The apology appeared on page B3 of today's print edition of The Straits Times

Though the suit was filed against both TRS founders — Singaporean Yang Kaiheng and his Australian partner Takagi — only the latter's name appeared in the apology.
