The construction site of Sengkang's latest executive condominium The Vales was struck with a tragic accident that took the life of a Singaporean man last Friday. Driver Chun Kum Soon died when a petrol tank truck unexpectedly rolled forward and pinned him against the wall at the Anchorvale Crescent site, Shin Min Daily News reports.
Chun was said to have parked the tanker next to a wall and alighted to refuel an excavator when the vehicle suddenly rolled forward and pinned him before he could move away. The vehicle's handbrake might not have been engaged on that sloped ground.
The sole breadwinner leaves behind a wife and a young son.
