HoverboardAmidst worldwide crackdown on 'hoverboards' (really, they're just hands-free Segway), Singapore Airlines (SIA) has also outrightly prohibited passengers from bringing them onboard planes.

SIA, as well as subsidiary Tiger Airways, have imposed a ban of all hoverboards, uniwheels, electric scooters and other newfangled electric ridables that are lithum battery-powered. None of them will be allowed on both checked and carry-on baggage, reports Channel NewsAsia.

Meanwhile, battery-powered wheelchairs, mobility aids and assistive devices which are actually needed by passengers will still be allowed on board as checked-in baggage, though they're subject to certain restrictions.
