Three Malaysian men who bypassed Malaysian customs to get to the Tuas Second Link checkpoint quicker got kicked to the back of the line last Saturday, amidst increasing discontent about the massive traffic congestion hitting the borders recently. According to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), their Malaysian counterparts had alerted them about a car that drove past the Johor checkpoint without getting their passports stamped. They managed to skip past the Malaysian checkpoint by driving pass an unmanned immigration counter, The Straits Times reports.
The three Malaysians — said to be work permit holders in Singapore — had to be escorted back across the border.
