It's nice to know that in this high-tech age, old-school tricks still come in handy.
SMRT employees reportedly used soap to free a man in 50s whose legs were stuck in the platform gap at Bugis MRT station yesterday afternoon. A witness, talking to Stomp website, said SMRT employees also had to cut the victim's pants, according to The New Paper.
While the Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted to the incident at 2:11pm, by the time they arrived the man was already unstuck — and presumably smelling as if he just stepped out of the shower.
He was later put on a wheelchair and brought to Tan Tock Seng Hospital with bruises on his right leg.
