National Gallery Singapore accident glass doorIt's not part of the exhibition, okay? If you ever find yourself at the spanking new $532-million National Gallery Singapore and see a door on the fifth level that's been covered up and fenced off, that is not art. The glass door, in fact, shattered at about 4.50pm yesterday, injuring one visitor."A visitor sustained minor abrasion on his right hand following the shattering of a glass door and was immediately given first aid by the Gallery’s staff. The affected area will be cordoned off for repair works until further notice," it said on Facebook. It is investigating what caused the incident. All glass doors in the gallery are made of tempered glass from Singapore, Malaysia and China, and the broken door was made in Singapore, according to Channel NewsAsia. The National Gallery officially opened to the public last week and has the largest public collection of regional modern art, with about 800 works on display.
