Ah, to be young and foolish. Two teenagers have been arrested for taking a stranger's motorbike for a joyride before returning it at the same spot where they found it.
The owner of the motorbike lodged a report last month about someone riding away on his vehicle before it was returned to where he parked it at Taman Jurong housing estate.
After reviewing images from police cameras and ground enquiries, officers managed to establish the identities of the suspects. The two men — 17 and 18 years old— were arrested at Boon Lay Way on Nov 24 around 5pm.
They could face up to seven years and a fine should they be convicted, which is quite a big cost to pay for a short test drive.
