AVA recalls China-made canned luncheon meat with hypodermic needle surprise

LuncheonCount on trusty manufacturers from China for packing in surprise ingredients like hypodermic needles inside their tin products.  The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore has recalled a batch of Highway Pork Luncheon Meat where a fragment of a hypodermic needle had been detected. The production date of the affected batch is May 28, 2014. The expiry date is May 27, 2017. The whole batch was pulled down from shelves immediately after the object was discovered.
