Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight SQ001 landed safely yesterday afternoon at Changi Airport amidst a bomb scare.
Flying in from San Francisco, SIA reported a bomb threat on the plane, though it's unclear how they got wind of it in the first place.
TODAY reports that the 267 passengers on the flight were affected as the plane stayed on the tarmac for an extended amount of time. Disembarkation was delayed until around 1.30pm.
The Singapore Police Force confirmed that they did not find anything suspicious on the plane or its passengers following security checks. The passengers were ferried to the terminal by airport bus due to security concerns.
As for the bomb hoax itself, SIA was not able to provide details, but assured that the matter has been referred to the authorities.
