Kumar's Cabaret — Queen of Glamour

All hail the drag queen of comedy — Kumar goes big at the lawn across the road from The Cathay. If you never got the chance to catch the outlandishly funny stand-up comedian before, now's a good time to be exposed to his razor-edged sense of wit and hilarious take on all things Singapore. Also, there's a glitzy cabaret show too in the show, as bizarre and entertaining as his comedy routine.

Spellbindingly trippy visuals synergised with equally mesmerising electronica being played live? Sign us up, good sir. Music and film takes centre stage at Objectifs' outdoor courtyard, where visitors are invited to watch the likes of acclaimed electronica duo .gif and prominent downtempo DJ/producer Intriguant interplay and improvise to visuals set by local filmmaker Yeo Siew Hua. An avant-garde experience awaits.
Improv Comedy Takes The Stage

Spontaneity is the name of the game, and The Improv Company are your players for the first weekend of Singapore Night Festival 2015. Using suggestions from the audience, they'll be presenting live comedy shows completely made up on-the-spot. A must attend for fans of Whose Line Is It Anyway? — ie, everyone.
The Substation’s Extra Extra Special Film Screening

Much like in the vein of Mystery Science Theatre 3000, you'll be watching films and TV episodes from Singapore's yesteryears with wisecracking personalities, who'll provide hysterical live commentary throughout the screenings. The hilarious likes of Becca D'Bus and Sharul Channa will be your viewing buddies for the evenings, riffing on Forever Fever, The Teenage Textbook Movie and episodes of Growing Up. You'll never see them the same way again.
Tribal Gathering of Jaw Benders
Aug 21, 22, 28 & 29 | 10pm | Armenian Street
The yearly music extravaganza returns to the closed off Armenian Street, where you can frolic, dance and mosh along to Singapore's brightest music talents playing live in front of The Substation. This year's lineup will see alt rock darling Inch Chua, indiepop lads Stopgap, Malaysian math-rock maestros Dirgahayu and a lot more take the stage.
A Little Nyonya's Dreams

Take a tumble into the night reveries of a Nonya girl and witness her visions come to life in ultra-vivid animated projections mapped onto the walls, done up by the crushingly creative minds of Brandon Tay, Stéphanie Ronzon and Fred Multier.
Moonage Daydream

The day of awesome reckoning has come — Singapore's comedy/glam rock pioneers Tiramisu will reach the zenith of their zany live music performances this weekend in Moonage Daydream, their very own mini-rock opera. Expect their kookiness levels multiply by a thousand as the band presents a colourful inter-disciplinary showcase, promising high-octane theatrics, costumes and good old rock 'n' roll.

This light installation is where nature combines beautifully with the digital. Walk through a gorgeous garden of miniature cherry trees adorned with glistening chandeliers that will create a landscape of lush lights.
Fat Kids Are Harder To Kidnap

It's zany slapstick galore with How Drama in this installation. We don't know how they manage to do it every time, but they'll be fitting 20 plays in the duration of half an hour — and audiences will be able to choose the order of which they're performed.

What's Night Festival without its glorious parades? Theater Tol's latest showcase is a sparkling parade incorporating tango dancers, live musicians, dancing flowers and animals which will culminate at the National Museum of Singapore, where an aerial carousel of angels take the whole thing to a thrilling conclusion.
