49-year-old Tan Kok Leong is currently on trial and faces five charges — two for drugging his victim, and three for using criminal force to outrage his modesty, according to various media reports. Tan had allegedly touched the 33-year-old Malaysian doctor's genitals as well as taking pictures of his penis.
The first incident took place on June 6 two years ago, when Tan allegedly touched the victim's genitals during a liposuction procedure at Life Source Medical Centre in Novena.
A month later, another liposuction operation was carried out on the man, and Tan told the victim to recuperate at a booked room at the nearby Oasia Hotel. That very evening, Tan administered the sleeping drug Dormicum and a painkiller Rosiden to the victim. Allegedly, he pulled down the victim's shorts afterwards and took photos of his genitals, and repeated the whole thing again the next day.
In his defence, Tan's lawyer argued that the victim could not have been molested in the first liposuction procedure as his girlfriend (a doctor) and another doctor were present. The victim was also said to have consented having his photos taken at the hotel.
