Workers' PartyHas the mud-slinging politicking begun already? Days after Low Thia Khiang — secretary-general of major opposition party Workers' Party — expressed his disappointment over Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew's retirement from politics, the Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean accused Low of being a phony.  Shots were fired when DPM Teo remarked in an interview that Low was only shedding crocodile tears, and that he was bound to "squeeze the most political mileage out of anything", Channel NewsAsia reports. Oof.  In response, Low calls for more civilized political engagements, and let Singaporeans judge and "see this is the standard of the Poeple's Action Party in politics".  But that's not all DPM Teo said about the Workers' Party — he also accused party chairman Sylvia Lim of wanting to "swallow up" Fengshan and adding the district to help the Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council with their deficit. His less than savoury comments came after Lim posted on Instagram eating fried oyster omelette, captioning the image with "The taste of Fengshan — heavenly! #reasonstowin".  She responded by saying that it was a pity Teo didn't have a sense of humour. #burn.  The frenzied war of words are only bound to get even wilder as the General Election looms closer.  Photo: Workers' Party Facebook page
