Folks who had wanted to take an early morning stroll at the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve last Saturday must have been puzzled on the sudden closure of the park, and especially so because of a police operation.
The whole park was closed off to the public for several hours since about 5am in the morning — the Coast Guard had detected suspicious activities off the waters of Sungei Buloh, Channel NewsAsia reports. The operation had the police conducting a search in the dense forested area which ended only around 12.15pm when they found and arrested a 45-year-old man for immigration offences.
Dude should be lucky the police found him first before the Sungei Buloh crocodiles did.
The Reserve was reopened later on around 12.45pm after investigations were concluded.
