Despite declaring his intentions to contest in the upcoming General Election as an independent candidate earlier in February, prominent activist lawyer M. Ravi has announced that he won't be running after all.
Ravi's recent walkabout in the Ang Mo Kio GRC with the Reform Party along with their secretary-general Kenneth Jeyaretnam and newcomer Roy Ngerng gave speculation that the lawyer will indeed be dipping his toes in the General Election. In a Facebook post however, he ended rumours by stating that he'll be focusing on his job as a legal practitioner instead.

It seems to be that Ravi has decided to lie low these few months, especially after the whole dramatic squabble with the Law Society of Singapore, who suspended him from legal practice still certified fit by psychiatrists.
