Joko Widodo, David CameronTwo world leaders will be dropping by our little red dot this week to keep Singaporean politicians busy — both Indonesian president Joko Widodo and UK prime minister David Cameron will be making official visits to Singapore from today till tomorrow.  Although he did drop by last November to attend his son's graduation ceremony, this would be President Jokowi first state visit to Singapore, where he will be calling on President Tony Tan and have a meeting with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs have also mentioned that three agreements will be signed between Indonesia and Singapore during his visit which would enhance economic cooperation, strengthen collaboration on youth and sports development between both countries, as well as facilitate the sharing of experiences and knowledge on the development of electronic government.  As per usual for any political bigwigs making state visits in Singapore, President Jokowi and his wife will have an orchid named after them at the Singapore Botanical Gardens tomorrow.  Meanwhile, UK PM Cameron will also be dropping by today, but will only be calling on President Tan and PM Lee tomorrow. Today, he will be delivering a speech at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and of course, have an orchid named after him as well. You'd think they run out of orchids by now.  Photo: Wikimedia Commons
